I am a press officer a with broad experience working as a subeditor, reporter and feature writer in the UK and Japan. I have worked for the Independent, Independent on Sunday, Times, Sunday Times, Times Education Supplement, Times Higher Educational Supplement, Daily Yomiuri, Asahi Shimbun. My book about Japanese alcohol culture was published by the leading English-language publisher on East Asia and won several awards. I have published chapters in three other books.
